Cloud Backups in Springfield & Kansas City
Synced isn't backed up. If a file is deleted, overwritten or scrambled by ransomware in OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox, the sync copies that change everywhere. A backup keeps the earlier versions, somewhere separate.
We back up your email, your files, and your computers and servers to the cloud, kept apart from your own network. Then we test restores, so you know a backup works before the day you need it.
Sound familiar?
- You assume Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace keeps a copy of everything, but you've never checked
- Backups are an external drive that someone takes home, sometimes
- Nobody has ever tried restoring a file to see if the backup works
- Losing your email or your shared files for a week would stop the business
- Someone deleted a folder months ago and it was only noticed when it was needed
What we do
- Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace email and files backed up, not just synced
- Computers and servers backed up to the cloud, kept apart from your own network
- Restores tested, so you know a backup works before you need it
- Help getting files back when something's deleted, overwritten or caught by ransomware
- Backup checks in your monthly report, so you can see they ran
These are examples of what we do, not the limit of it.
How we start
- 1
We list what you have: mailboxes, shared files, computers, servers and anything else the business can't lose.
- 2
We set up backups for each, kept separate from your own systems, and run a test restore with you watching.
- 3
We check them every month, test restores again, and show you in your report.
Questions
We already have OneDrive. Isn't that a backup?
Not quite. OneDrive and Google Drive sync your files, so a deletion or a ransomware attack syncs too. They do keep some history, but for a limited time and not for everything. A separate backup is what lets you go back to a clean copy.
Is our email backed up?
Microsoft and Google keep their services running, but getting back a deleted mailbox or an old message is mostly up to you. We back up email as well as files.
How quickly can we get something back?
It depends on what's lost. Single files and emails are quick to bring back. For a whole computer or server, we plan the restore with you when we set things up, so you know what to expect.
Where are the backups kept?
In the cloud, separate from your office network and from the accounts they protect, so a problem in one place doesn't reach the copies.
